The nurse eye roll site inspired me to make my own A day in the life of a nursing student.
I hope other nurse students can relate to this.
This is just a way of dealing with all the stress I'm experiencing right now.
Your sense of humor is nonexistent if you can't laugh at yourself.
Well enjoy!
First day of class where I initially aim to ace my tests and get a 90 above percentage.
First test, I get a 90.
During practicum, when the preceptor says "stop!" and asks what I'm missing, and I don't know what to tell her because I don't know what I'm doing wrong.
When the professors' lectures conflict with each other and totally differ from the books.
When the teacher says to study some of the materials on our own, without regards to upcoming tests, assignments, practicum, and clinical assignments.
Studying on my own.
Two of my classmates and I reminisce about the time we gave a patient a shower and came out of there all drenched because none of us knew what to do.
I failed my second test.
When my clinical instructor said we only have to do one care plan.
That one nurse who doesn't let us do any nursing tasks in our clinical site.
When the teacher is lecturing in class and the other students in the back are talking very loud.
That one student in class who keeps interrupting the lecture to ask irrelevant questions.
When I almost forget that an assignment is due that was never mentioned in class.
I get to school at 6am and wait in my car for the building to open.
In a study group, when someone adds stuff that we don't need to know.
When my grade dropped by 9 points.
The teacher says it's time to go but still keeps on talking for 30 more minutes.
That's all folks!
