Blah blah Part 2

And it goes on! Part two!
Ok since I refuse to cram any more things in my brain, thought I'd continue my random/nonsense blabbering.
I also think it's a good thing to take a break from it. Relax my mind a little.

Sometimes I capture some pretty interesting stuff, like this one. I was at work, watching the news and I noticed there was something off. Shouldn't Fox 10 hire better spellers? Just saying.

A view of the waterfall from the inside.

Rain while driving at night
Stop
Go

I thought this particular cloud was weirdly shaped

More stuff from Hawaii... huhuhu

Excuse me ma'am, may I take a picture of you taking a picture of your dessert?

The adorable second cousins. Still amazed by how smart they are. Hope my kids will be as smart as these boys.

It's annoying how iHop won't let me have the smiley face pancakes. So I says screw you guys, I'm making my own!

This is absolutely one of the best eatery in San Francisco. It was featured on the travel channel I think. I'm so frustrated cos I can't remember the name of the place.

Golden Gate Bridge. It was freezing that day.

Found this note on the ground in Vegas. Well said stranger, well said.

I always do this in every hotel we stay in. Trying to give the housekeeping staff a good scare.

So I go to the doctor to have my physical and I was surprised at what they put under "race." Like what the hell, where did y'all get Caribbean Black from?! Tell me!

Fiery sunset

I remember my last day in A.L. and the coworkers were bombing me with stupid tasks cos they're too lazy to do them themselves. But oh well... since it was my last day.

Alright, so we move on to lighter and funnier things.

Sorry guys, I'm not into this. I need my sleep.

Yes, nurses are hypocrites but they are caring people.

How I feel before every test...

So accurate, so.... so sad WAAAHHH HUHUHUHU

This is why I have locked accounts from countless attempts of entering my password that I obviously cannot recall. The disadvantages of short term memory.

That I am!

My favorite cartoon character! Nobody could have said it any better.

Plenty of fish in the sea... but that doesn't mean any of them is gonna want to be around you.

Sounds like a plan!

Remember this whenever you feel down :)

I saw this on one of my books and thought it was cute lol.

Live in the moment people! That's the way it should be.

It's like I want to break up with my alarm clock but I still need it. What a dysfunctional relationship!

Clever and true!

If this picture doesn't touch your heart, your heart is made of stone.

Just patiently waiting

It's an unpleasant feeling. One of my favorite movies.

Don't rush. You might regret it.

And the most important thing of all...

Blah blah

Today I'm just going to blabber about random things.

First, Starbucks.
I love the place but they never get my name right. Lately I've been ordering the Valencia Orange. It's actually pretty good.

The last time they wrote "Moe."
Seriously?

Study time!
I think it was two weeks ago that some people in my class wanted to study together. Since there were no study rooms available, we asked the receptionist if we could take the conference room. We never really went in there before... we were quite surprised when we went in cos the room looked very cozy with a fancy view.

I'm a fan of Hayao Miyazaki and I'm pretty sad that he's retiring. I think the guy's a genius. His films are so creative. He's able to capture his audience and lets us see a different world. He is so imaginative.
So some mates and I went to see his last film The Wind Rises. It was my first time going to that theater. It never occurred to me that theaters would have recliners! How awesome is that?! Definitely my new favorite theater right here! It was inexpensive as well. $7.50 a ticket!

I'm always so tempted to take a picture whenever there's a car accident. Haven't posted these pics, not even on facebook.

Speaking of disasters, a robbery incident gave us a good scare when we found out some robber hid in one of the houses in my neighborhood. Turned out it was the house right behind us. Police blocked the area, helicopter was circling around the houses and snipers climbed on top of the roof to catch the suspect. They were literally in our backyard. Just had to take a picture. In the end, the guy killed himself. Nice camouflage huh?

I love this kind of weather. Cloudy with a chance of rain.

Horseshoe Bend in Antelope during my mini birthday trip.

A view from my favorite room in the new nursing building. We call it the Zen room. I always get sleepy when I sit in there.

Found this plate outside of Kmart. High-larious

Ain't dis da truth

I found Poison Ivy in some costume Halloween party. Can't believe I asked her to take a selfie with me haha.

The great thing about extreme hiking.

Breathtaking Sedona

I love me some Hawaii. Missing you so bad.

This was my favorite hot air balloon out of all the hot air balloons.

Hmmm.... sushi

Hurt

03-11-2014
I will never forget that day.
It was a sad day.
I thought it was going to be a happy one.
That's what you get when you expect too much I guess.
I hate it.

#nursingstudentlife

Totally bombed the second test.
Oh well.
There's still 6 more tests! No more trying to go out with friends.
This time I will really have to have no life whatsoever.
This is what I get for being too carefree.

Anyway, woohoo! Spring break is here!
Already did 3 case studies in class yesterday.
Good thing I recorded the whole lecture. Wasn't even listening to the devil blabbing.
Research paper done.

To do list:
-Care plan
-Client education presentation
-Portfolio
-SimCharts

FCK.

If all else fails, back to square one.

Formula

So a few classmates were asking me what I answered for this question in our case study.

" The next day, the nurse initiates the feeding prescribed by the health care provider. The prescription is for half strength formula to infuse at 40 ml/hour. The formula is available in 8 ounce cans. The nurse is preparing enough formula for 12 hours.

How many cans of formula will the nurse need? (Enter numerical value only. If rounding is necessary, round to the whole number. "

At first I thought the question was hard as hell.
Then I learned the equivalents of the household and metric systems,
and it became quite so simple.

So the order was for half strength, which would make it 20 ml/hour.
And the formula is available in 8 ounces, which would be 240 in milliliters.
So in a period of 12 hours, the total formula the patient should be given is 240 ml
12(hours) x 20(ml/hour) = 240 mL which is equivalent to 8 ounces.

It's so simple yet my mind likes to complicate it.

Nursing is just so full of contradictions.
I really don't know how to survive this. Being a detached person, it will be hard to stick my nose in other people's business.
Nursing also requires being nosy. I never would have guessed.

Antelope

Mini birthday trip was great!
It helped me de-stress a little.
But it became too overwhelming again when I got back from the trip.
Was cut too short huhuh
God help me :(

Being with the DLS sisters is pure bliss.
Sorry Sammie but I've gotten used to not having you around since you keep ditching my behind.
The only trouble is fighting off my desire to see them.
Nursing school, why you gotta be hard D:

Beautiful place that was. Surely breath taking. Yes, I really took this picture. No photoshop, no nothing.

Enjoyed the time spent with these girls
I lubdub them <3

Tachycardia

It's quite sad that I try to find ways to avoid studying.
I know that I should be preparing for my first test, practicum and presentation (all of them have to be done within the same week)
Stressed much?
This morning I heard from some of my school mates that they've been crying due to the pressure and high expectations from the class.
Glad I'm not the only one who cries in her sleep at night!

Anyway, some of my excuses are plain ridiculous.
I actually baked these from scratch.
Crazy thing is that I don't even like baking.
Turned out to be pretty dry. I don't know if I used too much baking powder, I probably did.

They're called "Puto" in the Philippines, they're kinda like rice cakes

So I heard Anastasia was wondering why nobody talked to her about the outline she sent to everyone yesterday.
Well... payback's a bitch ain't it?
Now you know how it feels like to be ignored.
She pretty much did everything on her own, which one might think is good.
But for the rest of us, it feels like we're worthless as shit.
Well I wouldn't feel bad, I made the ribbons already haha.

What use is someone's pretty face when her attitude stinks more than a nasty sewer?
Blehh.
