Memory fails

Rose was wanting to stay overnight at a casino resort.

I think she got a free one night stay. Notsure.

The way she talks is kind of hard to follow. 

It's like she talks about work and two minutes later the conversation has shifted to rice.

She called my mom this morning asking if we want to do it Sunday night.

It sounded good to me too.

I even almost said yes.

But something didn't feel right.

I looked at the calendar and this Sunday is the 27th.

It's Janine's birthday! 

She even asked me to have it off and I said I would.

My goodness. My memory I swear.

I don't know what she would have done to me if I said yes.

Throwback!

So I'm here sitting reminiscing about the past

Thinking about how great my childhood and pre-teen years were.

I also realized how tall and and over-developed I was -__-

Our first year in America. The fam and I went to Scottsdale to sit back and chill. Ten years ago

In Roxas Boulevard Manila with bro. Went to immigration to work on our papers (2003)

Ran into an old distant relative. I personally didn't know him but my mom did. We said hello.

Judy was telling me that one of her nurse friends bumped into John (our block 1 clinical instructor). 

As they got to talking, we found out that John is a very strict instructor. 

But then he went on to say how we were the only clinical group he had that didn't give him any problem, not even an ounce! I thought he was fun. We loved having him as an instructor. 

I'm glad to know that our group pleased him, although he did make lots of inappropriate jokes. But that was okay cos the other girls didn't mind. When I first found out he was going to be my clinical instructor, Francis warned me about him. Told me to watch out for him... but he was cool. 

Thank you John. Hope to bump into you in the future!

Summer review

Decided to meet up with some mates from school to review nursing stuff.

I was surprised at the things I remember.

This is just something to help me remember the acid base balance:

Vomiting = Alkalosis (body is getting rid of acid, pH is high therefore the body becomes too basic, the kidney compensates by limiting HCO3 production)

Diarrhea = Acidosis (body is getting rid of alkaline, pH is low therefore the body becomes acidotic, the lungs compensate by limiting Co2: Kussmaul respirations)

Anyway, Temi brought up the time when all of us went to the front of the classroom to do a presentation on the diuretic drugs. She reminded us how I kept asking them questions and Judy was about ready to kill me HAHAHA. 

Temi: Bo you made us greet people in our language and asking us all these questions. We weren't ready for that!

Judy: Yeah I'm going to kill you for that.

Well the instructor wanted to see who had the most creative presentation. We could have won if you guys weren't so boring! LOL.

Judy was offering me all these foods... brownies, sponge cakes, egg rolls, deep fried shrimp, teriyaki chicken, ice cream, cherries and stir fried noodles.

Judy: This is my way of killing you.

LOOOL

It was fun though <3 I enjoyed their company and our mini review meeting.
